Don't miss out, as Facebook Partner Airtel To Provide Free Basic Internet in Nigeria...

This new innovation might have a perfect ground in Nigeria especially during this time of economic hardship but that will be possible if and only if Nigerian Government doesn't block this development as Egypt and Indian governments have done in the past. Okay, let's just expect something positive from our government. Last week, the founder of Facebook known as Mark Zuckerberg took to his page to announce Free Basic Internet in Nigeria. This was his words:

“Today we’re partnering with Airtel Africa to launch Internet.org Free Basics in Nigeria. There's a lot of innovation across Africa right now, and Nigeria in particular is home to a lot of talented developers. …Free Basics offers Nigerians, including 90 million people who are currently offline, the opportunity to access news, health information and services like Jobberman that were built by Nigerians and other developers across West Africa -- all without having to pay for data.Free Basics is now live in more than 40 countries, and half of those are in Africa."

You and i can now start browsing for free as Facebook officially Partners with Airtel Nigeria to provide free basic internet across Nigeria. Well, it might sound a little bit of surprise but actually it is true because this is not the first of its kind as it has happened in many African countries and now it's our turn to enjoy it also if the government doesn't interrupt.

This therefore means that, you can browse/surf the internet free of charge using your Airtel sim card. Sounds cool isn't it?

How Can I Use The Free Basic Internet?

Simply go ahead and Download free basic internet android app here or just visit freebasics.com from your phone using an Airtel sim.

Meanwhile, you just have to manage the free basic internet browsing because it doesn't load some pictures when browsing and also it is not as fast compared to browsing with your normal MB. I guess that is why it is called basic internet.
